Some of the most magical people we’ve come to know have stared death square in the face and won. Of course we wouldn’t recommend doing so out of choice, but emotion (fear) will always be the culprit pulling us off our path.
Those of us more fortunate–depending how you look at it–can only assume courage comes from near-death because you realize that when you’re on death’s door, the jig is up. All our fears mean nothing in the face of the ultimate of fears. Every doubt we’ve had will be of no consequence once we’re not here.
“Fear is a reaction; courage is a choice.” -Winston Churchill
